Throwback art

I've been away from the city visiting my parents so I haven't been able to work on anything new. I did however, find some old pieces I did when I was in high school. It amazes me how much each class, each piece, any bits of advice, every minute that you spend on your craft makes you that much better. Never stop learning and growing.

Random pieces: (in clockwise order, from upper left) Pastel pots still life, pencil headphones still life, marker on cardboard, pencil cloth on chair still life

A small grouping from my senior art portfolio. This portion was called concentration. We were suppose to pick a concept or focus and develop it through several pieces. I chose cityscapes. I started with photo real or vector images changed it with perspective views, into fantasy, then abstract and finally ended up with patterned or linear drawings (think maps or Mondrian-ish). The full concentration was about 12 pieces...these were all I could find =( Great concept I think but I wish I had developed it further.

Adobe Photoshop, photo manipulation/vector/whatever you want to call it...everyone loved this one for some reason
